Report

Game 1 v Dunbar
We settled into the game quickly and took the lead through a very neat long range shot from Byron.  After some good play from Callum, he quickly added to his tally, netting a second.  Dunbar then dug in well and started to play better, they got straight back into the game with a neat goal.  Cammy made a neat save to maintain our lead before Byron with an assist from Blake scored his hatrick.

Game 2 v Musselburgh
We welcomed Frankie and Declan, wo were both making their debuts for the club.
This was a very competitive match with both teams competing in every area of the field.  Byron played well in goal for this match and Andrew made some difficult and telling tackles to disrupt any attacks whilst Frankie chased every ball in the midfield.  As a team we worked hard and battled well against a very determined opposition.  Neither team made any significant goal scoring chances, which is testiment to the effort from both teams.

Game 3 v Haddington
We had very strong winds in our faces for the entire match which made defending a challenge for us particularly from corner kicks.  We lost a goal  fairly early on and with great credit to the players they remained calm and upbeat.  Byron displayed fine skill to score after being set up by Blake.
Frankie made a superb goal line clearance from a corner kick and Cammy made a great save as we hung on for a draw.  Well done.

Individually

Cameron - Difficult conditions for a keeper with the strong wind but confident and dependable.
Callum - Worked very hard and gave 100% commitment to each and every tackle

Andrew - worked hard in midfield and showed some class when in defence with his reading of the game and telling tackles

Blake - In his usual quietly confident manner always looked in control when on the ball picking passes and working hard tracking up and down the pitch

Fin - Played well, working hard for his team mates with some good strong challenges

Frankie - An excellent debut with some good skill and determined play,  in particular the goal line clearance, was superb

Declan - Making his debut having never played before, he worked hard to get involved in the games and assist his team. Well done.

Byron - An excellent morning for Byron who showed all his qualities as a  goalscorer and a team player, working very hard to obtain the ball from midfield positions and push forward. In goals against Musselburgh he was solid and dependable.  Well done.

Harry - good performance. Needs to be ready and prepared to work hard and do what is asked. Shows it at times, but now needs to do it week on week.

Star Player - Byron - some outstanding individual work and also the team work and energy he put into the matches.
