Report

Not so much of a match report, more of a performance summary.

When I was driving home after the game, as always was thinking about the performance, how individuals played etc etc. My honest reaction was that almost player for player I was actually pleased with how they played - but that was it - they played as individuals and not as a team.

We just didnt do the basics right. We didnt keep the ball, kept lumping it forward in the hope that we would bypass the Dunbar defence. As soon as you come up against a good team, good players this will simply not work. So we won the ball and basically gave it right back to them.

We work hard on training on our passing. our movement but we are not taking this in to games. This has been evident in both games v Haddington, and certainly in the game against Dunbar.

Spirit and effort was good though, and we should certainly take credit for scoring 5 good goals and it could have been more.

Individual summary

Cameron - dominated his goal and pulled off a number of fine saves. Cammie - instead of just shouting mark up - tell your defenders who to pick up. You are in charge of the defence! :)

Blair - player of the match. Played mostly in defence with a brief stint in midfield. Yoiu get the award due to your solid tackling and not afraid to make a challenge.

Blake - the player most likely to make a pass. You get the ball and get your head up - keep it up. Tracked well and fought for the team.

David - I am looking for you to play how you did in the last 15 minutes. Your passing was good, tackling was strong and you made some great runs down the wing. You hadnt done it till then - so you have shown you can do it......now you just need to do it all the time :)

Gabes - was VERY impressed the first 2 games. Played excellent at the back with some strong challenges, good positional sense and made some very good passes. At times though your passes are a bit "soft" - look to play the ball infront of your team-mate instead of straight to them, therefore allowing them to run on to the ball. Pushed Blair close for player of the match in my opinion.

Hannah - again, very pleased with your performance. Much more involved in the game now, strong tackling and good passes. Have a look over your shoulder though to make sure there isnt an attacker standing behind you.

Jack - 2 good goals and good supporting play. At times you are still drifting to the wing which is leaving a lot of space in the middle. Keep on eye on where you are playing and ensure that you pick your player up.

Harry - excellent workrate and set up one of the goals. Also had a good couple of chances yourself. Dont stand behind the defenders, come and meet the ball and then pass to the midfiled.

Frankie - never stopped working and delighted you got your hat-trick - which was pretty evident you wanted! :)
